A fomer trucker, Foster has decided to open a “dream” truck stop that has more amenities and services available to truckers than are currently available at most truck stops.
This family-friendly plaza is in the conceptual stages of being built in St. Clair County, Michigan. It’s expected to be a 24-hour plaza complete with the typical food courts and coffee lounges, but also with miniature golf, batting cages, dentist offices, chiropractors, a church, and restaurants. This plaza is expected to be a multi-million dollar project, which is about two years from fruition.
With a similar plaza in New York that serves hot meals to truckers while their truck lies comfortably in a garage, these innovative ideas show how the trucking industry is moving away from the negative stereotypes.
