Innovative Trucking
Here’s a way to make money–find what your industry needs and run with an idea. That’s exactly what Craig Foster of Greenwood Township is doing. A fomer trucker, Foster has decided to open a “dream” truck stop that has more amenities and services available to truckers than are currently available at most truck stops.
This family-friendly plaza is in the conceptual stages of being built in St. Clair County, Michigan. It’s expected to be a 24-hour plaza complete with the typical food courts and coffee lounges, but also with miniature golf, batting cages, dentist offices, chiropractors, a church, and restaurants. This plaza is expected to be a multi-million dollar project, which is about two years from fruition.
With a similar plaza in New York that serves hot meals to truckers while their truck lies comfortably in a garage, these innovative ideas show how the trucking industry is moving away from the negative stereotypes. It’s just another reason why anyone interested in changing careers should consider searching for Swift trucking jobs in their area, particularly in Michigan or New York.
